In Douglas en Peel hebben we 2 fantastische jachthavens met alle faciliteiten die een bezoekende boot maar kan wensen. Op persoonlijk vlak is het de kans om de zee op te gaan die mij soms gezond houdt op dit kleine eiland van ons! Natuurlijk draait het bij het bezitten van een boot niet alleen om dagen op het water, scheepsmotoren zijn dure en vaak grillige beesten en zo is de moderne wereld dat de meeste niet meer door de gebruiker kunnen worden onderhouden, dit is waar een goede scheepsingenieur in beeld komt en op het eiland Man zijn de beste scheepsingenieurs voor mijn geld MJS Marine gevestigd in Ballasalla.
Mike and Chris and happy to offer up advice and can take on work on just about any type of engine that will go in or hang off the back of a boat you could care to mention. To date my own experience with them has been faultless.
As well as the noisy bit they are also more than capable of dealing with other marine problems, fittings and fixtures including:-
- Installing lights
- Fitting/re-wiring electrical systems including all common marine electronics (GPS/Fishfinder etc)
- Onboard heating and hot water systems
- Rigging problems
- Cleaning both outside/inside
- Anti-fouling
Labour rates are affordable and regular customers can enjoy a loyalty discount on annual engine service rates. They can either come to visit you or you can take your boat to them at their workshop in Ballasalla. One extra service they do offer is that they can handle the trailer work for you or even provide a trailer (depending on the size of your boat), so if you don’t have access to a trailer they will do all they can to help you out.
